I don't have much time for television, didn't watch it for many years. But am finding that there are things on there that are interesting. Anything on National Geographic or Discovery. I enjoy movies that are older.

Josh Groban, EmmyLou Harris, Vittorio, Jon Secada, Steely Dan, old Celine Dion music, Dave Mathews band, Nickleback, Michael Jackson oldies, sade, Johnny Rivers, the BeeGees, Sara McLaughlin, Tori Amos, most every kind of music except country or opera...Although I do like the Dixie Chicks. Especially the one about Earl. I also like Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats. Now there's a woman with attitude. Do you ever wonder what the consequences would be for doing that? But the thought of the song is delicious. As I listen to new music,I have new favorites. One of my sisters has a song on her site that is Christian. The song has such passion that I have a new favorite.

I am always reading at least two books at a time. My treat on a weekend is to read a book. I love all types of fantasy, romance (clean), Nebraska pioneer books. I belong to three bookclubs.

My first marriage lasted twenty-three years. I was an abused child. Unfortunately, like most abused children, I married an abuser.

My way of coping was to block bad things out of my mind. So there is little I remember of my childhood.

It's time to update the profile. The past isn't all that important, except that it made me more appreciative of today and hopeful for the future.

I suffer from mental illness. I haave severe depression and post traumatic stress syndrome. I suffer from anxiety attacks and cannot sleep without medication. No big deal. I have my good and bad days. So does everyone else.Although my bad days may be a little worse than others.

I want to let my friends know that they have made a humongous difference in my life. Each person I have connected with on Sisterwoman has a unique personality. I share different things with each of you. But couldn't do without any of you. So my profile is about how much I have grown because of my friends. I didn't do friends until I became a part of this website. I love to laugh, feel special and to share and listen with all of you. Whether you are a Christian or not, God bless and keep you. You are a part of the fabric that makes my life.

needlework, reading, music (has been my strength through tough times) planting things outside, animal rescue,mostly doxies...that's why I have only outside plants. The recued kittens have a tendency to eat the bamboo plant. Knock things down for the doxies to chew.
I'm always changing my garden. I started a lily garden with ornamental grasses in between. I always need to weed. Is that a hobby or interest? =)
Allen has a huge hosta garden in back. He's planted some in my front yard garden. This year he informed me that some of them would be transplanted back to his garden. Humph I informend him that possession is nine tenths of the law. Sounded good to me. Anyway it gives me an excuse to redesign parts of my garden.
I also like spending time on the computer. Life is changing. Who knows what mischief I'll get into before my days are up.
I love to play games on my computer. Not the fantasy sort. More like Cubis, Tetris, etc.

Most Disney movies, Segal movies, Matrix Revolution series, Van Helsing series, Hobit movies, Harry Potter movies,adventure/action movies, funny movies. If the movie is too mean or hurtful of children, animals or women, I can't watch it. I am a real softy when it comes to raw violence.

Learning to do new things for pure pleasure. I have spent most of my life giving to others. It's almost selfish of me to spend time doing things for myself.

For the last year, I have been working on losing weight. I started at 210 and am now down to 131. TWO more pounds to go and then maintaining it. According to the weight charts I am still overweight. The last TWO pounds is putting up a fight before it goes. I started at a size 24wp and am now down to a 10wp. My blood pressure has dropped down to 112/63. Thanks to stubborness, lifestyle change and the grace of God.
Remodelling my house. It was built in the sixties and has little or no updating since then. Currently we are putting in a new kitchen. The new appliances have arrived. The kitchen cabinets are ordered. They will arrive Tues. We are to open each container and inspect every piece. Sound like Home Deopt doesn't want to have to deal with any problems.
